Benefit Concert May 12 for Tornado Relief

CMT is sponsoring a benefit concert on May 12th with proceeds to go to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.  Hank Williams, Jr, initially thought he would do a local benefit fund for the State of Alabama and wanting to raise a lot of money and make this a bigger event, he reached out to CMT for help.  Hank Jr used to live in Cullman and his parents are buried in Alabama. I hear that he has Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, and Lady Antebellum lined up.
I think that is great.  Also saw that Marcell Dareus and Cory Reamer were at the Cahaba Grand in Birmingham helping to raise thousands of dollars for disaster relief.

Brad Paisley is also donating to the disaster relief fund.  I read somewhere that he had a conversation
with Randy Owens about the devastation in Rainsville and wanted to help.

Also, I saw on Twitter that  Leann Rimes had agreed to help with the prom dresses for Hoover High School.  She tweeted that she was trying to find a dress..hopefully, she will.

So many stories, so hard to grasp all of the pain and suffering for so many.  So much going on in this world--so much has happened in the past few weeks.

This is what comes to mind:
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. The verse goes something like this, " To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under the sun. A time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;a time to kill and a time to heal ...a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance ...a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;a time to lose and a time to seek; a time to rend and a time to sew; a time to keep silent and a time to speak; a time to love and a time to hate; a time for war and a time for peace."

God Bless.
