Homemade Raw Sugar Scrub

Raw sugar is perfect for moisturing the skin.  Sugar can be used by skin types.  I prefer the salt scrub for the rough areas (like bottom of feet, elbows) but I love the sugar scrub because it is not as dehydrating.  Body scrubs can stimulate circulation.


1 cup raw or granulated sugar
1/4 cup walnut oil or light oil (jojoba, grapeseed oil, apricot kernel oil)
1/2 tsp vitamin E Oil

Mix together all the ingredients in a large glass or ceramic bowl.  Spoon into a clean jar (I use canning jars) with a tight fitting lid.

To use, massage a Tablespoon or two all over your body to exfoliate and moisturize your skin.  Store in a cool, dry place.  You may need to stir this between uses.  I keep in the shower.
