Aunt Ilene's Peanut Butter Icing

My Aunt Ilene can make the best peanut butter icing of anyone that I know.  You can use this icing on a white or a chocolate cake and it is scrumptious.  I think that I said in a prevous post that the last time I was home, I ate 1/2 of a cake she made.  It was so delicious.  She loves to bake and she is a fabulous cook.

Here is her recipe:


Peanut Butter Icing

2 cups sugar
1 cup milk
1/2 stick butter
8 to 12 oz Peanut Butter

Bring sugar and milk to a soft boil stage - remove from heat and add butter and Peanut butter.  Beat until thick.

Use this on a chocolate or white cake.  Call me to have a piece when you make it.
